Children's Mental Health Week is celebrated each year in February. In 2024 the theme is My Voice Matters. Children’s Mental Health Week aims to promote awareness of the importance of mental health and wellbeing and creates conversations about how we are feeling. This year's theme aims to empower children to express their thoughts, feelings and opinions. Over the week we have been busy participating in a range of activities linked to mental health.
Today, upper pre-school went on a nursery walk.
Walking provides the physical benefits of exercise, such as improving your mood, energy, and sleep quality. It gives you a chance to socialise with others- today with our peers and teachers at nursery.
We all enjoyed splashing in the puddles with our wellies on and experiencing the rain.
One child said “I love walks in the rain”
